GrandmotherPat collects books under her house to “bounce’ out to new readers. She collects boxes too . Most days you will find her and her many church and social groups gathering together under her house to box sets of books to go into Pumpkin =shipping containers to go “bouncing ” off to children in need.Just like the story of Cinderella, who had items change her life and even her pumpkin carriage, busy Grandmother Pat and friends change lives of many.Pat is 80+ years young and spends her money well on children she does not know and her time with great friends helping to do Goodwill for the kiddies! Grandmother Pat and her church group also sponsor scholarships to children of any denomination and regularly book to do picnic funtime visit s with their new family of children overseas when they visit to Vanuatu. Chocolate treats are always in the basket when Grandmother Pat comes visiting.
Pat: ” I have my own grandchild but love to be a generous granny to many more children and my adopted sponsored grandchildren are more each year. Now that makes me a happy grandmother. The best is that I see what I am packing for the children to be delighted with and I feel excited too. No time to get old!”.
